Rushing to the theatres each time a new movie is released, the universe is truly in its golden age. Adding a scene after the post-credits to drop a little peek into the next movie started as a simple idea but has grown to become their prime identity.
And just like that…

List of MCU Movies, Ranked from the Worst to Best:
1. Eternals (2021)

- Director: Chloe Zhao
- IMDb Rating: 6.3/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Eternals Plot:
The storyline centers around the relationship between the immortal Sersi (Gemma Chan) and the human Dane Whitman (Kit Harington). A Deviant, Kro attacks them, and Sersi’s super-powered ex (Richard Madden’s Ikaris) saves the day. From here, things get tangled, and no, it is not a love triangle.
Eternals Review:
Eternals feel cramped and rushed, trying to do too much at one time. Though incredibly talented, the cast is too big for an origin story. The mythology is dense, and you are still wondering what happened by the movie’s end. Nevertheless, it is an entertaining watch and Zhao’s inclusivity, and diversity is praised.
2. The Incredible Hulk (2008)

- Director: Louis Leterrier
- IMDb Rating: 6.6/10
- Streaming Platform: Netflix, Amazon Prime
The Incredible Hulk is a movie that has been forgotten in the long list of Marvel releases.
The Incredible Hulk Review:
It is a slightly off-center movie, but it has elements released a few years too early but is slowly becoming relevant today. While Edward Norton did a good job as Banner, after this movie, he was replaced by Mark Ruffalo, who fits into the role perfectly as a more well-rounded character.
The movie was mediocre, with marvel not exploring the true potential of Hulk movies. Nevertheless, The Incredible Hulk goes down in history as one of the firsts in one of the greatest cinematic universes.
3. Thor: The Dark World (2013)

- Director: Alan Taylor
- IMDb Rating: 6.8/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Thor: The Dark World Review:
Thor: The Dark World sounds like everything you want it to be on paper. However, on-screen, it falls short. The first half starts dour, but its humorful second half makes the movie memorable.
Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston’s incredible chemistry makes the movie worthwhile. It is silly and undeniably fun. Though the film is chaotic, Thor: The Dark World lays the foundation for something greater.
4. Iron Man 2 (2010)

- Director: Jon Favreau
- IMDb Rating: 6.9/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Following the massive success of the first movie, Iron Man 2 was a confident leap into the universe.
Iron Man 2 Review:
The movie introduces us to Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and War Machine – James Rhodes (Don Cheadle). In a film where too much is happening at once, however, there aren’t many surprises thrown our way.
The character-driven first movie transitioned into a calculating second film based on sound and effects. The positives outweigh the negatives. After all, a film with Justin Hammer’s moves and Robert Downey Jr. is already a win.
5. Ant Man (2015)

- Director: Peyton Reed
- IMDb Rating: 7.3/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Ant Man happens to be one of the lesser-hyped films in the franchise. However, the film turned out to be far better than one expected. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) wants to be a part of his daughter’s life. His ex-wife lives with a defensive cop (Bobby Cannavale), bringing in a father rivalry and a string of plot twists.
Ant Man Review:
A charismatic lead, Paul Rudd, along with strong supporting characters and the debut of new power, has proved successful. Ant Man may have taken a simple way and not achieved everything it wanted to. However, it is a family movie whose crazy visual effects, jokes, the power to into a tiny ant and the final promise will leave you grinning.
6. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

- Director: Joss Whedon
- IMDb Rating: 7.3/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Avengers: Age of Ultron Review:
An action-packed film that left people excited for its release but shortly after, it received major blowback. Age of Ultron has plenty of ‘wow’ moments, but the film is mediocre. Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) remain the highlight through the dragged storyline.
Despite the negatives, the movie is truly entertaining, and despite the criticism, it made a fortune. From quotable dialogues to the characters and cinematography, Avengers: Age of Ultron is truly art on screen and builds a bridge for future greatness in the universe.
7. Black Widow (2021)

- Director: Cate Shortland
- IMDb Rating: 6.7/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Black Widow Review:
Black Widow‘s (Scarlett Johansson) standalone film came way too late, but the wait was worthwhile. The movie is composed of depth in character and an intriguing back story, and it incorporates great spy films while curating a sense of its own identity.
The film is a satisfying all-rounder with a driven, sleek character and an interesting play of themes. Black Widow is an engaging and enriching film, giving Nat the respectful sendoff, she deserves and making her sacrifice in Avengers: End Game all the more emotional and powerful.

- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
In this origin story, we are introduced to Carol Danvers, a powerful Kree warrior with the ability to save the world.
Captain Marvel Review:
The movie was released under the pressure of high expectations as it was the first female superhero movie to take marvel studios by storm. Occasionally corny, a fun, entertaining film with brilliant women-themed soundtracks. Captain Marvel is a game changer for women and the marvel cinematic universe, and it truly lived up to its hype.
9. Doctor Strange (2016)

- Director: Scott Derrickson
- IMDb Rating: 7.5/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
An arrogant rich man meets with an accident, leaving him unable to use his hands. Humbled by the injury, he decides to use his intellect to help the world rather than just himself.
Doctor Strange Review:
The movie develops into a thrilling film with creatively intelligent battles and some extra points for introducing Benedict Cumberbatch to the Marvel cinematic universe. Marvel studios establish a bold new direction with Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange is a movie with charming visuals, a detailed storyline and unique joy that outweighs the faults.
10. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (2017)

- Director: James Gunn
- IMDb Rating: 7.6/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Review:
Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 connects with the audience through dazzling sequences, random jokes, and homely characters. The movie avoids the mistakes of the first film, improving the storyline and quality.
The movie is an entertaining watch because it does not entirely rely on its lead actor; all of the cast is equally charming and likable. This movie is about its heroes, and it truly adds to its essence.
11. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

- Director: Joe Russo, Anthony Russo
- IMDb Rating: 7.8/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
A film that forces you to choose a side between two of the most popular superheroes in comic book history.
Captain America: Civil War Review:
Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) is a friendship we all goofily enjoy and seeing them against each other is a hard watch. However, we aren’t left hating either Captain America or Iron Man. We hope their bond is rebuilt.
Captain America: Civil War is a highly competent film with a mix of wonder and cinematically pleasing visuals. A film about an extremely loved family that is broken, creating a movie that will keep you on your toes and one that is memorable.
12. Black Panther (2018)

- Director: Ryan Coogler
- IMDb Rating: 7.3/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Black Panther is the only Marvel movie nominated for Best Picture in 2019. The movie was brilliant, exceeding every expectation set. Boseman’s T Challa is under the pressure of living with the pressure of himself and his father. Along with this, he has to lead a nation with sci-fi technology.
Black Panther Review:
The performances, the cast, the dialogues, the detailed costumes and the special make the movie just about perfect. It portrays the marvel studios’ true potential to make major box office hits. Chadwick Boseman was the perfect fit for the role, and the sequel without the late actor is hard to imagine.
Black Panther elevates and encourages marginalized voices with its casting of a Black superhero in a story rooted in the real world. It is the movie that will help in paving the way for future representation of diversity.

- Director: Jon Watts
- IMDb Rating: 8.3/10

Spider-Man: No way Home Plot:
In this movie, Spider-Man’s (Tom Holland) identity is revealed to the world, exposing his family and those he loves to danger. Dr Strange comes to his rescue and makes the world forget everything they learned about Peter Parker.
Spider-Man: No way Home Review:
There is so much to love about No Way Home, and it hits home. It sticks the landing in the movie perfectly, leaving us reminiscing about reading Peter Parker comic books. The movie gives marvel movie fans everything they want, iconic heroes and villains and what they mean to us. Spider-man: No Way Home is the best in the Spider-Man trilogy.
14. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

- Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
- IMDb Rating: 8.4/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Avengers: Infinity War Review:
Avengers: Infinity War brings together all of our favorite Marvel heroes in an incredibly enjoyable way. With Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and more coming together to defeat Thanos, our eyes stay glued to the screen. Infinity War is a movie that takes your breath away, leaving you in awe at the loss of the avengers.
A snap of Thanos’s finger wipes away half the population, including superheroes such as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Spiderman (Tom Holland) and more. The movie interacts and moves the audience with its storytelling. The very sight of the characters we have grown to love over the last decade dying is enough to rip your heart out as you leave the movie in tears.

15. Avengers: End Game (2019)

- Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
- IMDb Rating: 8.4/10
- Streaming Platform: Disney Hotstar
Avengers: End Game Review:
End Game was one of the most awaited films in the marvel cinematic universe and let me tell you. This movie did not disappoint. The avengers, or those who remained of them, plot a second chance to defeat Thanos and reverse his snap through time travel.
This movie results from a decade of blockbusters, incredible storytelling, and a cinematic ride. The whole Avengers: End game will have you in a mix of hoorays and holding back tears. With no post-credit scenes, it is the perfect opportunity to take in everything you have just witnessed.
The ending was magnificent. It will leave you crying over the characters you have grown to love. Yet, you can’t help but smile at the perfect endings most of our superheroes receive. In the words of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), Marvel Studios, we love you 3000!
