Euphoria is the most trending high school drama to stream right now. This show is concentrated on a group of high schoolers while they deal with drugs, love, money, and social media. This is one of the most popular series to stream if you have been craving some spicy high school drama.
Out of all the characters we have experienced in Euphoria, Lexi Howard has been the most intriguing character the show served us.
Lexi Howard:
Lexi is Cassie’s younger sister and Rue’s childhood best friend. Although the two sisters have a similar childhood, she was often overlooked by her parents as they preferred Cassie. Maude Apatow plays this charming character.
Here is a list of some of the top reasons why Lexi is the most fearless character on the show.
Lexi’s Bond with Other Characters
Rue Bennett
Lexi and Rue shared a very special bond with each other in childhood as they were close friends. Even though they have known each other since pre-school, they eventually grew apart with time as Rue’s drug intake was getting out of hand. Audiences adored the chemistry between the two characters and wished to see more of their scenes.
Lexi tried to advise her regarding her drug addictions after witnessing her miserable condition, but Rue couldn’t care less. So, she decided to maintain a distance from Rue. After some time, when she was found unconscious because of the drug overdose, everyone started blaming Lexi for Rue’s condition.
Although Rue never considered her a close friend, we see Lexi comforting her on several occasions. Lexi seemed to deeply care about Rue as she gets jealous whenever she sees Jules (Hunter Schafer) and Rue (Zendaya) together.
Cassie Howard

Cassie Howard is Lexi’s elder sister, who Sydney Sweeney plays. She always manages to capture everyone’s attention because of her looks which makes Lexi feel inferior to her sister. Of course, Cassie was her parents’ favorite child because Lexi felt her parents were overlooking her.
Even though Lexi is quite a good-looking girl, her mother always prioritizes Cassie’s beauty over her. Her parents’ negligence towards her made her an extremely quieter and self-contained girl. Even though her parents differentiate her from her sister, Lexi supports her sister from all her heart and wants her to be happy at all costs.
It is evident in the scene where she accompanies her sister to the abortion clinic. Lexi had always admired Cassie as she wanted to get the same kind of affection and attention from people. She is so determined to find her own path where she can exist freely, away from her sister’s footsteps.
Cassie becomes devastated after Fezco beats up Nate. This incident greatly affected the Howard sisters’ relationship as Lexi is team Fez’s supporter, considering her newly formed relationship with the drug dealer, and Cassie is Nate’s girlfriend.
Maddy Perez

Maddy is played by Alexa Demie. While growing up, Lexi shared a heartwarming relationship with Cassie and Maddy, as described in Lexi’s play. Maddy would do Lexi’s makeup and would teach her about confidence. But as they grew older, Maddy and Cassie got closer, leaving Lexi behind.
Fezco
Fez shared a heartwarming relationship with Lexi. They met at the New Year’s Eve party, and they couldn’t stop talking the entire time. Fezco’s interactions with Lexi are surely the favorite part of the entire show for its audience.
Their conversation made us realize that they were flirting with each other as Lexi’s face turned red. They both exchanged numbers, and the audience could witness undying chemistry. This happened before Fez beats up Nate.
Lexi was defending Fezco for taking harsh steps, and we could clearly spot a strong connection between them. It is evident how Lexi had feelings for Fez. Fezco is a popular character of Euphoria, which Angus Cloud plays.
Character Development in Two Seasons
Season 1:
Season 1 started with Lexi giving Rue her pee to pass the sobriety test. In the Halloween episode, Lexi is witnessed in the costume of painter Bob Ross and her trying to help Rue scare Troy, the little brother of Mckay. She is also seen helping Cassie after she drunk texted Mckay. These two incidents make us realize how much Lexi Howard cares about the people she loves.
In the later episodes, we are introduced to the Howard family issues and how terribly it affects Lexi. She gets into an argument with Cassie after she is seen fussing about her looks, stating how she is constantly affected by the attention Cassie has been getting from people.
The sisters return to normal in no time after Cassie needs a bit of advice on her current situation. This scenario shows how deeply she cares for her sister and would do anything to improve her situation. In the final episode, we see Lexi is seen taking Cassie to the abortion clinic, giving her every possible support, her sister needs in that situation.
This situation depicts how mature Lexi is for her age. Lexi wants to be there for her loved ones when the time is rough. She is a true friend everyone needs at some point in their lives.
Season 2:
As Lexi’s character evolved in the second season, we realized the importance of Lexi to the storyline. The first interaction with Fezco promised that something epic would happen in the coming seasons. That was the moment where we had butterflies in our stomachs seeing how well-established their chemistry is.
The Personality of Lexi Howard

Lexi Howard is the most relatable character from Euphoria. Lexi is intelligent, hilarious, and caring. She will go out of her way to help the people around her. She is passive, but she can be great company, and season 2 has perfectly captured her true personality.
Lexi was not the center character in Season 1 but season 2 proved fruitful for her as the audience made a special connection with her. Lexi should have been considered a good girl as she isn’t involved in drugs or any kind of sexual intercourse, but there is something more to her personality.
She doesn’t fit in the “good girls” category as per the personality traits confirmed by mainstream movies and television. Lexi is the most intelligent character in the series. She has a keen perception, and her thoughts are precise.
Lexi is an observer and likes to sit back and enjoy the drama in the background. She avoids being judge mental towards the bad girls that constantly surround her. Lexi is not jealous of the fun and adventure these girls are up to either.
Lexi is built differently as she doesn’t care about attending regular parties like other people. She is one of the most relatable characters in terms of her personality.
Iconic Quotes of Lexi Howard on Euphoria
Here are some of the most iconic quotes by Lexi Howard that has a special place in our hearts:
1. “I feel like I’ve lived most of my life in my imagination, taking the smallest moments and dreaming them up into something bigger. A little exchange and I fall in love, a moment to myself and I’m on stage, but reality always finds a way of pulling me back.”
We have all witnessed Lexi‘s creativity when she created a whole play based on her life. She is talking about Fezco here and how she has fallen in love with him through just a little heart-warming interaction. But life isn’t always as rosy as it sounds.
If there are good moments, life will make it a point to allot you your fair share of low moments as well. Anyway, I am really rooting for Lexi and Fez!
2. “It’s like you have a split personality disorder. Sorry if I miss the old you.”
Lexi is so mad at Rue for not considering her best friend even though they have been together since pre-school. Lexi supported her like crazy for years and even helped her conceal her drug addiction. Poor Lexi!
Lexi’s Style

Lexi always looks flawless in her 50s vintage style look. She would often wear colorful sweaters with different patterns. She always avoided loud makeup and was always seen in her natural look with red lips. The Euphoria fans always appreciated her girl-next-door aesthetic.
She always looked refreshing and innocent, which separated her from other characters. Lexi always looked gorgeous, but she always doubted herself. She struggled to figure out her path, which makes her unique from the rest of the characters in the series.
Reasons why the Audience Loves Lexi
No matter how Lexi Howard appeared in season 1, she proved to be a major attraction in season 2 for the audience. She was a blast on the show and brought whole new energy to the existing plotline. Here are some of the reasons why audiences love her unconditionally.
1. She supports Cassie despite the personality clash.
It is impressive how Lexi unconditionally supports her despite her careless attitude. It clearly depicts how thoughtful, loyal, and patient Lexi can be. The second season explored the character of Cassie while she was in crisis several times.
Lexi proved to be her savior every single time, even though she was not an easy person to deal with. Whether taking Cass to the abortion clinic or distracting Mckay at the Halloween party, Lexi did everything she could to cover up for her aggressive sister. It shows that she can go miles for someone she cares about.
2. Her Bob Ross outfit for Halloween
Lexi was seen dressed up as Bob Ross, unlike all the girls who chose revealing dresses to celebrate the spirit of Halloween. She is someone who believes that Halloween isn’t just about looking attractive at the party. Lexi isn’t someone who will change herself to fit into your standards.
She has accepted herself the way she is, and this is one of her strongest traits of Lexi Howard. The scene where the minors are smoking weed and are all intimidated by Lexi as she is dressed in a Bob Ross outfit gives the viewers a good laugh.
3. Her loyalty to Rue
Rue Bennett always has the support of her childhood friend Lexi Howard. She made Rue pass the drug test by giving her drug-free pee. She not only helps her in hiding her drug addictions, but she does everything to stop Rue from taking drugs.
This is the most legendary duo nowadays.
4. Her bond with Fezco

Fezco and Lexi’s interactions are one of the best gifts the series served us. No wonder why Fez is falling for Lexi! I am so prepared to witness their sweet romance in the following seasons because they complement each other very well!
The best part about their scenes is that she truly understands him and isn’t intimidated or judgemental about his occupation. In my opinion, they both are innocent at heart and can make the plotline more and more interesting. Lexi talks with Fezco for hours at the New Year’s Eve party, and it is evident from their first meeting that they have an emotional connection between them.
On the one hand, we have the most chilled-out teenager; on the other, we have a soft-hearted drug dealer. I am waiting for season 3 just to experience their stunning chemistry!
5. Lexi’s play

Lexi is a tough character to beat when she puts up a whole play. It was amusing to see her yelling at lighting people considering the fact that she is a very timid person by default. Through this play, she was able to find herself.
This play was crucial to the show as the viewers got the opportunity to understand the character of Lexi deeply. Plus, it was so heart-melting when she dedicated the play to her biggest supporter, Fez. I couldn’t control my tears when she did that!
Conclusion:
Lexi deserves applause in so many ways. Be it her fearless play or her heart-melting bond with Fezco. We just couldn’t take our eyes off her even for a second.
Maude Apatow was perfect for the character as she possesses some great acting skills. Her character developed in season 2 as we experienced her illuminating personality. It would not be wrong to say that people were hooked on the show after witnessing the stunning chemistry of Fez and Lexi.
Their scenes were one of the best decisions by the creators of the show, as they share the healthiest relationship out of all the characters on the show. I just hope we see more of their chemistry in the following seasons.
