The idea that bad movies are often humorous because they are so bad in representation of the sci-fi or scary genres. But how could the worst comedy movies be amusing in their inability to be entertaining? That is the contradiction and why most terrible comedies are just plain wrong.
Nonetheless, it has been said that everything worth and does is worth doing badly, and comedy is no exception. The early aughts were an excellent breeding period for the awful comedies of all time. Part of the burden is squarely on the shoulders of the general viewing public, who proceeded to flock to heinous entertainment year after year.
Over the years, cinema has provided us with many laugh-out-loud moments and the most unforgettable personalities ever presented to the screen. However, for every successful comedy, many more cannot give the chuckles, memorable characters, with an engaging narrative that moviegoers expect when they go to the theatre.
In reality, some of the worst movies ever made were nominally supposed to be comedies, but the logic behind the film’s sense of humor was so misdirected that it became a prominent example of comedy gone tragically wrong. Here are seven of the worst comedy movies ever made.
7 Worst Comedy Movies:
7. Disaster Movie

After overcoming him, the caveman is confronted by the predator, a broadsword, gasoline-drinking Amy Winehouse, who tells him that the world will close on August 29, 2008, and, therefore, their fate is sealed in a Crystal Skull.
The sequence is subsequently shown to be Will’s dream in the modern day. He later discovers that his girlfriend Amy is engaged in an affair with Flavor Flav, and she ends their relationship because he refuses to express his genuine feelings for her.
Will, despite being 25, throws a “Super Duper Sweet Sixteen” celebration at his place later that day. June, Dr. Phil, Will’s best buddy Calvin, and Anton Chigurh are among the guests. Amy comes to the party alongside her new boyfriend, a Calvin Klein underwear model.
Because when the room shakes and, indeed, the lights go out, the celebration is finally over. According to a radio broadcast, a meteor outburst signifies the end of the world.
Public Review:
It’s not humorous to portray Amy Winehouse as a saber-toothed drunk; it’s not funny to subject the audience to a protracted “sexy” wrestling fight, and it’s not funny to claim that Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a dude. The only thing this inflammatory trash does well is the title. Puerile above belief and perhaps harmful to cells in the brain, the only element this inflammatory dross gets right is the title.

During committing to the sorority, Victoria assigns a mission to the girls: collect used condoms. Gloria, the group’s leader, runs into Victoria’s partner, Derek, while searching a nearby park, and the two get close. The only reason Victoria intends to allow first-year students to pledge is to demonstrate diversity, which is required for the “FHM Hottest Sorority inside this Country” competition.
Victoria vows war upon that girl during “Hell Week” but eventually lets everyone in, only to send them out once they win the match. Gloria, the misfit first-year students’ leader, is enraged. Gloria and her companions decide to leave the sorority. Derek and Gloria acknowledge and seal their affection for one another through a kiss.
Public Review:
If you genuinely desire to know more about this box office bomb and can stand Paris Hilton saying lines like “My dog is such a perv!” but also “That’s sexy!” every 5 minutes, then go ahead and watch this pathetic entry in the once-truly hilarious National Lampoon franchise.
5. Movie 43

About Movie 43:
Movie 43 is a collection of diverse, interrelated short films, including sketches encompassing various situations and scenarios about something like a washed-up producer pitching bizarre plot ideas starring some of Hollywood’s most prominent actors. Wessler becomes furious after presenting some of the stories in his script.
When Schraeder dismisses his crazy ideas, he pulls a gun on him and compels him to attend to multiple further accounts before forcing Schraeder to contact his manager, Bob Mone, to acquire the film. When they accomplish so, Mone’s condescending, demeaning attitude toward Schraeder enrages him to the point where, after agreeing to make the film “the largest feature since Howard the Duck,” he refuses to make it.
The structure differs in other nations, such as the UK and the Netherlands. Rather than using a pitch, the movies are linked by a trio of teens on the hunt for the world’s most forbidden film, Movie 43, which would eventually lead to the collapse of society. With his friend J. J., Calvin Cutler created a movie like MTV’s Jackass and published it on YouTube, which quickly surpassed 1,000,000 views.
Public Review:
We’ve been listening to this film for about four years, ever since producer Peter Farrelly persuaded upwards of a dozen A-list stars but instead talented supporting actors to emerge in a series of vigorously tasteless scenes sloppily strung with each other as suggested elements of a film that Dennis Quaid is presenting to Greg Kinnear.

She wins a slot on the reality dating show The Extreme Bachelor: Desperate Edition, with the bachelor being Grant, the man she met in the diner.
Ty Andrews, the show’s host, introduces Grant, who welcomes all of the women and is tasked with eliminating the losers, which he achieves by killing them one by one.
Public Review:
Comedy is like witnessing a horrible amateur night of improv, with one lousy gag following another that almost had me leaving before the end credits. It’s difficult to see past Date Movie‘s complete disaster to rate its acting, but Hannigan appears to be at least decent.
3. Jack And Jill

Public Review:
Jack and Jill is an inexpensive film with little attention paid to sleek editing or continuity, and the lighting is also dismal. Jack and Jill is possibly Sandler’s poorly directed film since the director looked to rush through everything throughout.
2. Freddy Got Fingered

However, Gord’s father (Rip Torn) disapproves of his work path and pushes him to attain independence.
As father and son spar, Gord tells a lie that alters everything: he believes his father is abusing Freddy, which has disastrous implications. As it is, Freddy combines that badness with numerous repulsive elements that you can’t help but gag by minute 12.
We’re talking about offensive jokes about molestation, baby abuse, incest, impairments, etc. We’re talking about gross-out sequences that gave the film crew PTSD for the rest of their lives.
Public Review:
Exaggerated gibberish elicits dark and significant laughter from the dangers of assuming the worst about people and delighting in retribution.

Gigli successfully persuades the young man, Brian, to accompany him by pledging to take him “to the Baywatch,” an allusion to the television show of the same name, which appears to be Brian’s sole passion. Louis doesn’t trust Gigli to execute the job correctly, so he recruits a woman named Ricki to take command.
Gigli is drawn to Ricki, but he is bothered by Louis’ lack of trust in him and having to take instructions from a woman. He is also irritated by Brian’s persistence in traveling to “the Baywatch,” as well as Ricki’s sexual orientation.
Public Review:
When they shot it, it was planned to be a funny genre. However, after filming, they opted to make it a different picture to capitalize on the Ben Affleck/Jennifer Lopez romance dominating celebrity publications and television shows. They attempted to edit the film they had into a plot that was not planned to be, and it did not work.
