Early Life
Carell grew up in nearby Acton, Massachusetts, as the youngest of four brothers. and was born in Concord, Massachusetts. Edwin A. Carell, his father was an electrical engineer, and Harriet Theresa, his mother, was a psychiatric nurse. Carell attended Nashoba Brooks, The Fenn, and Middlesex schools. And he loved playing ice hockey and lacrosse in high school.
He graduated from the Denison University in Granville, Ohio in 1984 and moved to Chicago in 1989 he joined Second City where he found the love of his life. On the 5th of August 1995, Carell married Nancy Walls who was a student in an improvisation class that Steve Carell was teaching.
Carell played goalie for Denison’s Big Red Hockey team for about four years and was a part of a comedy theatre company called “Burpee’s Seedy Theatrical Company“. And the fun fact he also worked as a disc jockey at the campus radio station, under the alias “Sapphire Steve Carell”
Career
In Littleton, Massachusetts, Steve Carell worked as a mailman, but he had to quit after some months because his boss told him that he wasn’t good enough for that job. Carell played a part in the touring children’s theatre company, later in the comic musical Knat Scatt Private Eye, and in a 1989 tv advertisement for Brown’s Chicken. In 1991, Carell made his film debut in Curley Sue.

Carell played the role of Michael Scott.
